Welcome to the X-ray Crystallographic Facilities at Emory
The X-ray Crystallography Center at Emory provides quality diffraction data for the structural analysis of compounds at competitive rates, including:
- Single crystal structural analysis.
- X-ray diffraction of powders, protein assemblies, and thin films.
Single crystal X-ray analyses include a publishable quality CIF and a complete structural report.
We can determine the absolute configuration of a light-atom chiral molecule. Our powder X-ray analyses requires small amounts (μg quantities) of material and the applications include phase identification, unit cell refinements, and particle size analysis. Most analyses are complete within one week. Our state-of-the-art equipment includes Bruker APEX-II’s with Mo and Cu sources and a Bruker D8 Discover with HISTAR and VANTECH detectors and an Eulerian cradle.
